Beethoven said that music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual; the same can be said for art and writing. 


What does it mean to paint and write?  It means that an un-told amount of passion and erotic fulfilment happens to the self. And, all this is from a single sheet of paper, a few pens, and a pot of paint. 


Travelling is an art, it is about seeing, experiencing and understanding.  When this happens, the experience can never be taken from you.  Just as it is with love, once you fall in love the memory and the feeling stays with you for a life time. If it wasn't love, the image quietly drifts into the distance of nothingness.


To experience Manhattan's most incredible places is to paint and write, then frame the memory.

    I've always thought that we can tell an artist from a wannabe by seeing in their work either a love of labor or a labor of love.
